Sea Turtle Cam Provides Unique View of Great Barrier Reef

Sea Turtle filming the Great Barrier Reef

WWF put a GoPro camera on the back of a sea turtle. The video recorded by the sea turtle provides an amazing view of Australia's Great Barrier Reef from the turtle's perspective.

BBC News says WWF researchers were using the cameras to try and find out why some turtles have been found dead near the reef. USA Today reports that the project is also part of campaign to raise awareness about the reef's declining health. The camera was collected after filming and the sea turtle was unharmed.
